Anyone else finds it ironic that the substance most commonly used to subdue fire is actually comprised of two highly combustible elements?
Lol. I'm talking about water you know?
Water = Hydrogen + Oxygen.
Both aid in combustion and supposedly produce an explosion when a mixture of them is lighted. Copper (II) Oxide empirical experiment, anyone?
